Councillor Joe Queenan has been elected Cathaoirleach of Ballymote-Tubbercurry Municipal District at their Annual General meeting which was held on Monday 19th June.

Councillor Queenan’s nomination was proposed by Councillor Clarke, seconded by Councillor Taylor and unanimously agreed.
In his address, Councillor Baker said he looked forward to working with the Elected Members and staff over the next year, stressing the importance of working together for the good of the rural areas within the Municipal District.
Councillor Michael Clarke was elected Leas Cathaoirleach of the Municipal District.
Director of Services Emer Concannon thanked outgoing Chair Councillor Martin Baker for his service over the last year, congratulated Councillor Joe Queenan and wished him well for his term in office.
