The Cathaoirleach of Sligo County Council Councillor Paul Taylor has welcomed the news that 75 new jobs have been announced by local firm Amcor.

‘Amcor is acknowledged as a global leader in a range of areas, including packaging, pharmaceutical, home and persona-care products. I concur with the Tanaiste’s comments that this is very significant news for Sligo and the Northwest.
Sligo County Council works in close partnership with IDA and other key agencies to promote Sligo as a prime venue for sustainable jobs and investment, and this latest development by Amcor is welcomed by the local community.
Sligo is a designated growth centre for this region, and we will continue to engage with our partners to showcase our county as the optimum location to live in, invest or visit.’
