County Sligo Heritage Plan 2023 - 2027 - Pre-Draft Public Consultation

8th – 31st March 2023

The County Sligo Heritage Forum, facilitated by the Heritage Office, Sligo County Council is preparing a new County Heritage Plan for Sligo and is seeking your support and assistance in identifying the key priorities and opportunities for Sligo’s heritage over the next five years.

County Sligo Heritage Forum is a heritage partnership between local government, state agencies, development agencies, farming organisations, education and training agencies and the community & voluntary sector.  All with an active interest in or responsibility for Sligo's heritage.

The Heritage Act, 1995 states that the national heritage includes: monuments, archaeological objects, heritage objects, architectural heritage, flora, fauna, wildlife habitats, landscapes, seascapes, wrecks, geology, heritage gardens and parks and inland waterways.

We want to know the aspects of Sligo’s Heritage that you value and want to see celebrated and conserved.  We are seeking your input in setting the priorities for Sligo’s Heritage Plan 2023 - 2027.
