Diversion of R292 Eastbound Traffic accessing the N4 via Lord Edward Street

A diversion will be in place for traffic travelling eastbound along the R292 towards the N4 from Tuesday 6th April.

In order to facilitate necessary works associated with the N4-N15 Sligo Urban Improvement Scheme at Lord Edward Street the following traffic management measures and diversions will be in place from the morning of Tuesday 6th April until Friday 9th April.

R292 Eastbound Diversion

A Primary Diversion will be in place for traffic travelling eastbound along the R292 towards the N4 as follows:

  • All R292 eastbound vehicles will be diverted south onto the Rodger Eames/Western Distributor Road and will access the N4  National Primary Road via the Caltragh Interchange.

Secondary Diversion will be in place for Local traffic travelling eastbound along the R292 towards the N4 as follows:

  • All Local R292 eastbound vehicles will be diverted south onto the Wolfe Tone Street and will access the N4 National Primary Road via Church Hill.

Traffic travelling from the N4 onto the R292 Lord Edward Street will not be impacted.
