N17 Knock to Collooney - Public Consultations - postponed

Hotel Displays scheduled for the 2nd and 9th of November have now been postponed due to the current COVID-19 Level 5 restrictions.

On the 6th of October, the Sligo National Roads Project Office released a range of initial Feasible Options for potential upgrades to the N17 between Knock and Collooney.

In general, the options constitute initial broad route corridors with provisional junction location’s; these will be assessed for efficiency and effects on the environment over the coming months.  It is the first stage of the options design process.

Hotel Displays scheduled for the 2nd and 9th of November have now been postponed due to the current COVID-19 Level 5 restrictions.  Anyone who has already booked a hotel meeting via the website will be contacted directly over the coming days.

It is hoped that the Hotel Dates can be rescheduled for some time in December, or early January, depending on COVID-19 restrictions.  In any regard, the deadline for receipt of Submissions in relation to this stage of the Public Consultation process is now extended to Friday the 15th of January 2021.

All information for the Hotel Displays, including all Feasible Options, is on the Project Website; therefore, the public are encouraged to view the website.  A feature of the website (Mapping Page) allows users to insert their ‘Eircode’ which will take them to their location and highlight routes which are in proximity to them.

Where possible, group meetings (maximum of 3 persons) will also be facilitated. These meetings will be restricted to virtual meetings during the current Level 5 restrictions, and will continue to be conducted in accordance with COVID-19 restrictions thereafter.
