Sligo County Council will host a public information briefing on its Draft River Basin Management Plan. It will be held in the Council Chamber, County Hall, between 2.00pm and 4.00pm on Friday next, 6th October.

Public Briefing on Draft River Basin Management
The Draft Plan will outline proposed areas for action in County Sligo for the next four years. Friday’s briefing will include a presentation delivered by Sligo County Council assisted by the Local Authorities Water and Communities Office (LAWCO). This will be followed by a question and answer session and a discussion focused on the proposed Areas for Action.
Maps displaying Water Status and Risk for all water bodies and maps of priority areas at risk will be available for viewing. Information will be provided on the proposed river and lake water bodies currently at risk or review identified for action in County Sligo as part of the Draft River Basin Management Plan.
Sligo County Council and LAWCO are interested in hearing your feedback on the proposed priority areas identified for action in County Sligo as these areas will be part of the final River Basin Management Plan 2018 – 2021 due to be finalised in December.
