Book of Condolence for the late Martin McGuinness

The Cathaoirleach of Sligo County Council Councillor Hubert Keaney has paid tribute to the late Martin McGuinness calling him ‘an exceptional statesman who made an enormous contribution during his career in public life.

He played a central role in delivering the Good Friday Agreement and was commended by all communities in Northern Ireland for his work as Northern Ireland’s Deputy First Minister.’

Sligo County Council opened a Book of Condolence at its main offices at County Hall, Riverside on Wednesday, and a Book will also be opened at the Council’s offices at Teach Laighne, Tubercurry at 2pm tomorrow, Friday 24th March.
