  1. To confirm the Minutes of the Meeting of the Municipal District of Ballymote-Tubbercurry held 23rd January, 2023. (Attached and posted on extranet)
  2. Matters Arising.
  3. Review of the County Sligo Heritage Plan 2023-2027.
  4. To consider the Schedule of Municipal District Works 2023 – including Draft Roads, Transportation, and Infrastructure Programme” (reports to follow).

 

DEFERRED MOTIONS

  1. To consider the following joint motion as submitted by Councillors M. Clarke and J. Queenan: “To call on Sligo County Council to start the process of taking in charge one kilometre of road at Bunnina Dromard there are 9 residential houses and 5 farmers on this road. and road at one kilometre from Ballinphull to Lugdoon Templeboy, this a strategic road of importance to the Council, on the occasion of the main N59 been blocked this a diversion route.”

 

MOTIONS

  1. To consider the following motion as submitted by Councillor Mulvey:“(A) To ask Sligo County Council to carry out resurface works on road L56018 at Ard Connell Ballymote.  Also if the pull in bays could be enlarged and re-surfaced. (B) Can a sign be fitted along this stretch of road indicating NARROW BRIDGE ahead, While there are small signs in place on the R296 with this wording, Lorries etc apparently do not see them and have got stuck and had to reverse out.”
  2. To consider the following motion as submitted by Councillor M. Clarke: “To call on Sligo County Council to include Dromore west village in an application under active travel to redevelop a footpath to St Mary's church and the McGee Hall, From Dromore west bridge to enhance the river walk loop.” 
  3. To consider the following motion as submitted by Councillor D. Mulvey: “I ask if Sligo County Council has any update on my previous NOM calling for traffic calming measures for residents living in Keenaghan Ballymote.”
  4. To consider the following motion as submitted by Councillor M. Clarke: “To call on Sligo County Council to ensure that funding is in place to provide toilets on the wild Atlantic way at Dunmoran strand, Aughris head walk and pier and Trawee beach, to accommodate the huge numbers of people who visit those attractions.” 
  5. To consider the following motion as submitted by Councillor J. Queenan: “Ask the Director of Services to give update on Fáilte Ireland beach facility public toilets Enniscrone.”
  6. To consider the following motion as submitted by M. Clarke: To call on Sligo County Council to prepare a report on what works are going to be carried out to make safe the following junctions on the N59. L6209, L6208, L6416, L6513 and L2402~8.  All those roads are blind with no sight line onto a very fast national road.” 
  7. To consider the following motion as submitted by Councillor. D Mulvey: “I call on Sligo County Council to fit public lighting along the new stretch of footpath at Abbey Terrace Ballymote. This is a very popular local walking and running route in Ballymote and as the main busy road R293 into Ballymote from Sligo it is unsafe due to lack of public lighting.”
  8. To consider the following motion as submitted by Councillor G. Mullaney: “To call on Sligo County Council to extinguish the right of way on L14045 Castlebaldwin as it's no longer in use.”
  9. To consider the following motion as submitted by Councillor G. Mullaney: “To call on Sligo County Council to provide 2 Disabled Parking Bays in Lord Edward Street close to Ballymote Day Center.”
  10. To consider the following motion as submitted by Councillor G. Mullaney: “To call on Sligo County Council to complete the extension to Ballyrush Cemetery by levelling the surface and laying walks.”
  11. To consider the following motion as submitted by Councillor M. Connolly: “To ask Sligo County Council install a disabled parking space outside the centra shop in Bellaghy Charlestown.”
  12. To consider the following motion as submitted by Councillor M. Connolly: “To ask Sligo County Council to erect a digital flashing speed sign on the N17 at Bellaghy to reduce the speed entering the village.”
  13. To consider the following motion as submitted by Councillor J. Queenan: “Ask the Director of Services to outline the proposed overlay on n59 Dromore West to Culleens ie time span and cost.”
  14. To consider the following motion as submitted by Councillor J. Queenan: “Ask the Director of Services to approve a stone path for people to walk safety along r297 from Kinard to Carrowhubbock nth.”
  15. To consider the following motion as submitted by Councillor M. Baker: “To ask Sligo County Council to provide safety measures on Bridge over Unshin in Riverstown.” 
  16. To consider the following motion as submitted by Councillor P. Taylor: “To ask Sligo County Council to put a plan in place for safety measures to verges on the R293, with special attention being directed to the Section from Gurteen to The Roscommon Border.”
  17. To consider the following motion as submitted by Councillor P. Taylor: “To Ask that this Municipal District write to Irish Water to ask, what plans are in Place to Improve the Sewerage System in the Village of Bunninadden.”
