    “That this Council provide a pedestrian crossing on the N59 in the village of Dromore West, from the Housing Estate and Shopping Complex to the Community Centre”.

    “That the Council agree in principle to dispose of The Old Sewerage Works at Tieveboy, Ballymote to Elanden Ltd for a nominal sum subject to this company disposing of the old mill at Keenaghan, Ballymote for a nominal sum to Ballymote Community Enterprise Ltd.   The said old mill premises will be developed as a heritage centre and transport museum for the benefit of the people of Ballymote and its environs and for use by visitors to the area”.

    “To request this Council to carry out urgent restoration works on road 4 between Coolaney and Rockfield village”.

    “To ask the Minister for Health and Children, Ms Mary Harney and Mr Brendan Drumme, CEO of the Health Services Executive to retain the cancer services in Sligo General Hospital and if not retained, that Sligo County Council calls on them to resign”.

    “To request Sligo County Council negotiate with H.S.E West in acquiring the most suitable site to build a new modern Centre of Excellence.  Health Services in Tubbercurry e.g. bringing all doctors, consultant health servants all located in the one complex.  Patients over-night stay and adequate car park spacing.  This is the way the new H.S.E is moving”.
  3. To consider the following motion as submitted by Councillor A. Colleary

    “To request Sligo County Council to give us the current update on proposed new plant yard for Sligo County Council and accommodation for it’s workforce in the Tubbercurry region, as requested some 14 months ago”.

     “To ask the Sligo County Council for the current up-date on proposed link road from N17 Tubbercurry Bypass to Masshill Road (Clooneen), requested 2 years ago”.

    “To ask the Director of Services for Infrastructure when the completed EIS and CPO documents for the N.4 Cloonamahon to Castlebaldwin will be submitted to the National Roads Authority”.

    “I Propose that Sligo County Council adopt a motion of no confidence in the Health Services Executive (HSE) and request the Government and the Minister for Health to provide a modern effecive service for cystic fibroses patients, especially young adults born with this life threatening disease”.

    “To propose that Sligo County Council would play a central role in acquiring land for development of industrial park or enterprise units in Tubbercurry in co-operation with Enterprise Ireland, I.D.A  etc”.

    That Sligo County Council calls  on the Government to immediately introduce legislation to protect the  equal  rights  of  agency  workers,  compared  to  their  permanent counterparts,  whereby  employment  agency workers would be subject to a collective  agreement specifying  terms  and  conditions  of employment.
    Including, but not limited to
    • specifying a maximum period beyond which the worker must become a direct employee;
    • Providing for equal pay and entitlements with directly employed workers performing the same or similar work or work of equal value;
    • Ensuring the right of workers employed by agencies to trade union representation.

       and to  support the introduction of an EU Directive on Temporary Agency Workers.”
  9. To consider the following motion as submitted by Councillor M. Gormley

    “Due to the lack of parking facilities in Tubbercurry that Sligo County Council construct a carpark on their site at the rear of Coen’s Filling Station”
  10. To consider the following motion as submitted by Councillor S. MacManus

    "To request that a report be prepared in relation to steps to be taken to deal with the current traffic and road safety issues at Scoil Asicus Naofa N.S., Strandhill.
     
    In particular this report should address:
    • Provision of car turning facilities.
    • Road Strengthening.
    • Provision of footpath at right of school entrance.
    • Road markings."

  12. “That this Council agree in principle to amend the Local Area Plan for Ballymote by including an objective for the provision of a retirement village on the site outlined on the attached map”.

    “I am calling on Sligo County Council to provide safety barriers on the railway bridge from Ballymote to Bunninadden and to look at improving the junction for traffic in and out of the nursing home”.
