Temporary Road Closure - Sligo Stages Rally 2025

This temporary closure will be on Sunday 20th July 2025

SLIGO COUNTY COUNCIL
TEMPORARY CLOSING OF ROADS
SECTION 75 OF THE ROADS ACT, 1993

Notice is hereby given of the decision of Sligo County Council to close to public traffic the roads listed hereunder during the periods indicated on Sunday, 20th July, 2025.

1. Period of Closure 8.45 to 18.45

L2203-0 (33), L2205-0 (35), L6809-0 (124) and L6802-0 (3) in the Townlands of Carrowcullen,Drumnagoal,Carrownamadoo, Cloonagh, Cabragh, Cappagh, Carrownbanny, Carrownaskeagh, Gortakeerin and Carrownagabneen.

Alternative Route for traffic travelling from the Northern side via,

L2303-0 (37) L2304-0 (37.A)  or L2203-0 (33), onto N59, L2802-0 (1) Hungary Rock Road, L6801-0 (2) and L6802-0 (3).

Alternative Route for traffic travelling from Southern side via,

L4601-0 (462), L6804-0 (4), L2802-0 (1), L6802-0 (3), L6801-0 (2)

 

2. Period of Closure 9.15 to 19.15

L8603-0 Kilcummin / Ballyglass, L8604-0 Derreens / Leitrim North / Cloonacool, L4703-0 Cloonacool, L8704-0 Cloonacool / Corsallagh / Sessuecommon, L8705-0         Sessuecommon /Tullycusheen More /Carrowreagh Knox, L8708-0 Carrowreagh Knox / Carraun, L8605-0 Carraun, L84015-0 Carraun, L8401-25         Carruan / Mullaghanarry / Lisseneagh

Alternative route for traffic travelling from Cloonacool village,

L4603-0 / L4605-0 / L4604-0 / L4401-0 / N17 to Tubbercurry and vice versa

 

3. Period of closure 9.45 to 20.00

L8606-0 Gortnadrass / Killoran South / Killoran North, L4601-42     Killoran North / Deenodes / Finlough, L6807-0 Finlough, L6808-0                  Finlough / Kilvarnet North / Ropefield / Ballymurray, L2801-70 Carrowntawy / Ballymurray / Fethereen, L61081-0 Fethereen / Rathnarrow (Brett) / Rathnarrow (OHara), L6108-0 Rathnarrow (OHara) / Ranaghan More, L6107-0 Ranaghan

Alternative route for traffic travelling from Coolaney,

L2801-0 / L2101-0 / R290 / N17 to Ballinacarrow & Achonry and vice versa.         

 

In the interests of safety, roads adjoining the above mentioned routes will be closed for a distance of 205 metres.
