Cleveragh Active Travel Interventions

Sligo County Council in exercise of the powers conferred on it under Section 38 of the Road Traffic Act, 1994 hereby gives notice that it has prepared a Scheme for the provision of Active Travel Scheme at Cleveragh Drive, Sligo Town.

In the interests of road safety and convenience for all road users, Sligo County Council is proposing to introduce an Active Travel Scheme along Cleveragh Drive from the Regional Sports Complex to the Junction of Cleveragh Road / Tonaphubble Drive other works will include road traffic calming measures. The scheme provides for 2-way cycle lane, a raised uncontrolled crossing, a raised controlled crossing, tactile paving, increased footway width, tightened junction layout, tightened road layout and associated engineering works.

Plans and particulars of the Scheme are shown on Drawing Numbers AT-TS-007-00 to AT-TS-007-15. These drawing are available to view on Sligo County Council’s website: https://consult.sligococo.ie/  

Representations in relation to the proposed Schemes may be made in writing to the Sligo Regional Design Office through the following two options only:

Submissions must be received no later than 5.00 pm on Friday 1st August 2025.
