Contract Signing for New Social Housing Developments in Dromore West and Easky

Sligo County Council is pleased to announce the formal signing of contracts for the construction of 18 new housing units at St. Farnan’s Drive, Knockaculleen Townland, Dromore West, and a further 8 units at Woodland Crescent, Aderavoher Townland, Easky, Co. Sligo.

The works will be delivered by ML Quinn Building Contractors, following their appointment as the successful contractor for both schemes.
The developments have been designed by the Housing Capital Section of Sligo County Council and form a key part of the Council’s continued efforts to expand high‑quality housing options across County Sligo.

Construction is scheduled to commence in February 2026, with completion and delivery of the units expected in Q2 2027.

Speaking at the contract signing, Cathaoirleach Cllr Dónal Gilroy welcomed the developments, stating:

“These projects represent a significant investment in the future of our communities in Dromore West and Easky. Providing safe, modern, and affordable homes is one of our highest priorities, and today marks an important step in meeting that commitment. I look forward to seeing these new homes take shape and the positive impact they will have on local families.”
