The Cathaoirleach of Sligo County Council Councillor Paul Taylor has congratulated Riverstown Enterprise Development Limited in winning the ‘Community Tourism’ category in the national IPB Pride of Place Awards held Monday evening.

‘This is a tremendous achievement and is deserved recognition for the outstanding work carried out over many years by the dedicated volunteers in the Riverstown community.’
The Cathaoirleach also highlighted the contribution of the Sligo County Council team led by Director of Services Dorothy Clarke and Executive Planner Ray O’Grady who worked closely with Riverstown Enterprise Development Ltd on this initiative.
In their citation, the competition judges commended the management strategy and long term sustainability of the Riverstown Folk Park.
