SCDP 2005-2011

Sligo County Development Plan 2005-2011

Sligo County Development Plan 2005-2011 (CDP) was adopted on 18 April 2005 and became operational on 16 May 2005. The Plan expired on 15 May 2011.

The Plan consisted of three publications:

  • Sligo County Development Plan 2005-2011 – main document, which includes mini-plans for Ballysadare, Collooney and Grange (Section 11 of the Plan)
  • Record of Protected Structures 2005-2011 (does not include structures within the area covered by Sligo and Environs Development Plan)
  • Sligo County Council and Sligo Borough Council’s joint Housing Strategy 2005-2011.

All three publications may be inspected or purchased at the Planning Office of Sligo County Council.

Note 2: Statutory variations may be made by the Members of Sligo County Council during the 2005–2011 period. It is advisable to consult the Council’s website or check with the Planning Section for up-to-date information regarding variations.

 

Proposed Variations

Variation No.1 – Carney Mini-Plan - 1,978 kbs   (Section 11.4 of CDP)

Variation No. 2 – Coolaney-Rockfield Mini-Plan - 2,695 kbs (Section 11.5 of CDP) 

Variation No. 3 – Dromore West Mini-Plan - 8,258 kbs (Section 11.6 of CDP)

On 11 September 2006, Sligo County Council adopted Mini-Plans for Carney, Coolaney and Dromore West. The Mini-Plans set out a framework for the future development of each village and zone land for specific uses, such as housing, commercial and community facilities, sports and recreation. The Mini-Plans, which were incorporated into the County Development Plan using the variation procedure, became operational immediately after their adoption.
