  1. To confirm the Minutes of the Meeting of the Municipal District of Sligo-Drumcliff held on 16th November 2020 (copy attached and posted on extranet).
  2. Matters Arising.
  3. ‘To note the recent Town and Village Renewal Scheme Accelerated Measures 2020 Round 1,2 &3 funding allocations awarded to the Sligo-Drumcliff Municipal District’

 

MOTIONS

  1. To consider the following motion as submitted by Councillor M. Casserly:
    “To seek an update on the possibility of having a Bring Centre in Cliffoney Village following a request for same last year.”
  2. To consider the following motion as submitted by Councillor M. Casserly:
    “That Roads Engineers carry out a survey at the Drumcliffe Carney intersection on the N15 to help solve the ongoing traffic issues including the issue of access from the Carney road onto the very busy N15. This area will see an increase in traffic when the new Primary Care Centre is built.”
  3. To consider the following motion as submitted by Councillor M. Casserly:
    “To ask for the Hazelwood Road into Half-moon Bay and the Benbulben Road at Gortarowey be added to the next roads programme for resurfacing.”
  4. To consider the following motion as submitted by Councillor T. Healy:
    “To call on Sligo County Council for an update report on what progress has been made to address the health and safety issues on the Knockbeg Road and when will footpaths and speed issues and the lack of public lighting be resolved on this road.”
  5. To consider the following motion as submitted by Councillor T. Healy:
    “To call on Sligo County Council to give an update report on when will the second phase  work start on the footpath realignment scheme between Collooney and Ballisodare as funding has now  been secured for this project.”
  6. To consider the following motion as submitted by Councillor T. Healy:
    “To call on Sligo County Council to write to Irish water for an update report on what progress has been made to secure a more permanent water supply to North Sligo.”
  7. To consider the following motion as submitted by Councillor T. Walsh:
    “To call on Sligo County Council to erect warning signage in Ballintogher village on approach to the new speed ramps on the Ballygawley and Dromahair side which are having a very positive impact on speed coming into the village.”
  8. To consider the following motion as submitted by Councillor T. Walsh:
    “To ask Sligo County Council to detail when the new post for festival and events manager will be advertised and when we can expect this post to be filled. In addition as per recommendation in the County Sligo Tourism Strategy when is it expected that there will be a new festival and events strategy complete and published.”
  9. To consider the following motion as submitted by Councillor T. Walsh:
    “To ask Sligo County Council to make provision for safe pedestrian access from Collooney Town to Collooney Train Station for users.”
