MOTIONS

  1. To consider the following motion as submitted by Councillor D Mulvey:
    “To ask Sligo County Council to install traffic calming measures along the back road at Stonepark, Ballymote as there are safety concerns with traffic volumes heading for and leaving Corran College - The National School - Marren Park housing estate and the new Primary Health Care Facility to reduce the danger to elderly residents and students who walk along the road as it is not wide enough for a footpath along sections of this route”
  2. To consider the following motion as submitted by Councillor D. Mulvey:
    “To ask Sligo County Council to improve traffic sight lines at junction where traffic exits from L4303 on to R296 at Buninadden”
  3. To consider the following motion as submitted by Councillor P. Taylor:
    “To ask Sligo County Council to survey the trees in Carrowentemple Cemetery with a view to removing any trees or branches that are a risk to the general public and head stones”
  4. To consider the following motion as submitted by Councillor P. Taylor:
    “To ask Sligo County Council to carry out repairs to the Boundary Wall at Killaraght Old Cemetery”
  5. To consider the following motion as submitted by Councillor G. Mullaney:
    “To call on Sligo County Council to provide funding to remove a ESB pole from the newly constructed footpath on the left of the R296 to allow wheelchair access in Ballymote town without crossing the regional road”
  6. To consider the following joint motion as submitted by Councillor G. Mullaney and Councillor P. Taylor:
    “To call on Sligo County Council to provide a streetlight in Keash Village on road number L4202 at the Eastern Harps Grounds in the interest of public safety”

    “To ask Sligo County Council to increase their contribution of money to the residents committee of Mountain View Estate as they have to buy new lawnmowers and streamers to keep the estate in its present condition”

    “To ask Sligo County Council to install another flashing speed sign on Ballina Road, Tubbercurry to slow down traffic at entrance to the estates”

    “To call on Sligo County Council to request the TII to provide enhanced 60km signs at Skreen and Dromard Community Centre”
  11. To consider the following motion as submitted by Councillor M. Clarke:
    “To call on Sligo County Council to carry out safety works at the Beach Bar junction at Aughris Head and to clean the water table and fill it with hardcore to facilitate along road parking from that junction to Aughris Pier”
