* All non-compliant results are referred to the Health Service Executive (HSE) for advice in relation to protection of public health. Remedial action is carried out and follow up samples are taken to ensure full compliance with drinking water regulations. Where there is a danger to human health, the supply is restricted in accordance with the advice of the HSE, and consumers are advised accordingly.

There are no lead mains in Co. Sligo, any non-compliances for lead in drinking water relate to individual lead service connections and are therefore limited to the individual premises where the sample was taken. All premises where lead non-compliances are detected are advised accordingly.
