New Routes for Knock Airport

Tubbercurry Elected Member Cathaoirleach  Councillor Michael Fleming says the news that Knock Airport is to provide four additional Ryanair flights will be a major boost to the North West.  ‘At a time when we are facing up to unprecedented economic challenges, it is heartening to see a key element of our transport infrastructure progress and thrive. The importance of  Ireland West Airport cannot be over-stated. 

It is a major presence in our lives with a local and regional significance, and it is an unqualified success story for the west of Ireland.’

‘The  announcement of the new routes conveys a very positive message that the west of  Ireland is very much open for business, and that there is now even greater access to and from markets in the West of Ireland and beyond.’ The  new direct services from  Barcelona, Frankfurt , Milan and Paris will commence in March 2012.
