Presentation to County Museum

Mrs. Rosalee McKay and her husband Sam from Coalisland, County Tyrone recently presented an important piece of Irish Silver to Sligo County Museum along with Wynne Family photographic memorabilia.

Mrs. McKay is a direct descendant of the Wynne family of Hazelwood, Sligo.

The inscription on the trophy reads - “Presented by Major Williams and Mr. T H. Williams for Point to Point Race 3½ miles over Wynnesfort Course 17th March 1907 won by Major L. C. Wynne’s B.G. Bill Bailey”

The trophy is now on display in Sligo County Museum.
