Sligo Local Authorities produce a monthly podcast and a two-monthly e-newsletter to update the people of County Sligo with news, information and major developments from Sligo Borough Council and Sligo County Council. If you would like to receive an e-mail copy of the newsletter, and to be notified of details of upcoming podcasts, please register in the area provided below and we will ensure you are updated with the latest news from your Local Authority.
Sligo Local Authorities are also introducing a ‘text alert’ facility to notify people of out-of -office incidents occurring in their area such as water bursts or outages or emergency road closures. This free service will enable people who register their mobile phone number with us to be notified immediately when such incidents are being posted on the Authorities’ websites. e-Contact is Sligo Local Authorities’ two-monthly e-newsletter and features news and information from the many service areas of Sligo Borough Council and Sligo County Council. It allows people to be directly updated with local developments, to receive minutes of recent meetings and notice of forthcoming meetings, a diary of upcoming events, as well as the contact details for the Local Authority offices in County Sligo.

Sligo Local Authorities’ podcast and radio programme ‘Council Focus’ is broadcast on Ocean FM at 9.00am on the Second Sunday of every month, and is repeated the following Wednesday at 6.15pm. It is also available on Sligo Borough Council and Sligo County Council websites as a podcast. ‘Council Focus’ has been broadcast for over two years.
