Burial Grants

Burial Ground General and Enhancement Works Grant Scheme

This Programme is administered with the following key aims:

1. To encourage and support community groups to maintain their local burial grounds and enhance their communities
2. To help communities to take greater ownership and pride in their local burial ground.
3. To foster awareness of local responsibility for the maintenance and upkeep of the local burial ground.

This year grant funding of €400 has been awarded to Burial Ground Committees for general cleanups and grass cutting and extra funding has been made available for groups involved in undertaking enhancement works; thereby recognising the efforts of groups taking responsibility for improving their local burial ground.
