Sligo County Development Plan 2011-2017
On 16 May 2011, Sligo County Council adopted its County Development Plan 2011-2017. The CDP 2011-2017 became operational on 13 June 2011 and will remain in force for six years from that date.
Statutory variations may be made by the Members Sligo County Council during the 2011-2017 period. It is advisable to consult this web page or check with the Planning Section for up-to-date information regarding variations.
On 7 October 2013, Sligo County Council made a variation to the CDP 2011-2017. The Variation No. 1 consists of the incorporation of Strandhill Mini-Plan as Chapter 44 of the CDP. The Strandhill Local Area Plan 2003-2012 has been revoked. The Variation/Mini-Plan and associated documents can be viewed or downloaded at www.sligococo.ie/strandhill

Volume 1 - Main Document – sets out an overall strategy for the proper planning and sustainable development of County Sligo, addresses a range of issues, including management of growth, providing housing, supporting balanced economic development, conserving environmental quality and delivering improved infrastructure.
Volume 2 - Mini Plans - includes detailed zoning and development objectives for 30 settlements.
