Major Emergency Plan

Cover of the Major Emergency Plan The purpose of this plan, which is the County Council / Borough Council element of the Major Emergency Plan, is in the event of such an emergency.  a) to outline generally the procedure to be followed and the functions to be undertaken by the County Council / Borough Council services, and b) to co-ordinate the procedures to be followed and functions to be undertaken by the County Council / Borough Council, with those of the Health Service Executive, Gardai and any other agencies responding to the emergency.  The Major Emergency Plan is the combined co-ordinated plans of the County Council / Borough Council, Health Service Executive and Gardai in the area where the emergency occurs.
