Review of Strandhill Local Area Plan and preparation of Mini-Plan

Pre-Draft Consultation: 11 July – 31 August 2012

Sligo County Council intends to review the Strandhill Local Area Plan 2003-2012 and prepare a Mini-Plan for Strandhill, which will be incorporated in the County Development Plan 2011-2017 (CDP) as a variation.

The preparation of the Mini-Plan will be conducted in the same manner as for a local area plan, i.e. with a pre-draft consultation stage and a 6-weeks public consultation on the draft document.

The Mini-Plan will follow the template of the 30 mini-plans already included in the CDP (see Volume 2 of the CDP at www.sligococo.ie/cdp).

In order to facilitate pre-draft input from the public, a Pre-Draft Consultation Paper has been prepared. Copies of this Consultation Paper may be inspected from 11 July 2012 to 31 August 2012 at the following locations:

  • Planning Office, Sligo County Council, County Hall, Riverside
    Monday – Friday: 9a.m.– 5p.m.
  • Sligo County Library, Stephen Street, Sligo
    Tuesday: 9.30a.m. – 7.00p.m., Wednesday - Saturday: 9.30a.m.– 5.00p.m.
  • On the County Council’s website at www.sligococo.ie/strandhill

Copies of the Consultation Paper may be purchased during the same period at the Planning Office in County Hall, Riverside.

Your views on the preparation of Strandhill Mini-Plan are invited. All submissions and
observations should be made in writing (hard copy or e-mail), headed “Strandhill Mini-Plan” and sent to:

All submissions received by 4:00 p.m. on Friday, 31 August 2012 and addressed as set out above will be taken into consideration in the preparation of the Draft Strandhill Mini-Plan.
