Draft Ballymote Local Area Plan 2012- 2018 Proposed Amendments

On 14th May 2012, having considered the Draft Ballymote Local Area Plan (LAP) and the First Manager’s Report on the written submissions received, the members of Sligo County Council have resolved to propose amendments to the Draft LAP.

The proposed amendments would, if made, be a material alteration of the Draft LAP.

Pursuant to S. 20(3)(f) of the Planning and Development Act 2000-2010, the Planning Authority has determined that strategic environmental assessment is required in respect of one proposed material alteration of the Draft LAP.

In accordance with S. 20(3)(g) of the Planning and Development Act 2000-2010, the Manager has specified that a period of 9 weeks following the passing of the aforementioned resolution is required to facilitate the strategic environmental assessment.

The proposed amendments of the Draft Plan and the associated strategic environmental assessment document will be placed on public display for a period of 4 weeks beginning on the 18th July 2012. A reminder notice will be published before that date.
