Temporary Closing of Road - R293

TEMPORARY CLOSING OF ROADS SECTION 75 OF THE ROADS ACT 1993

Notice is hereby given of the intention of Sligo County Council to close to public traffic the R293 (Ballymote to Gurteen) at Rathmullen Td, Ballymote on Monday, 21st May to Wednesday, 23rd May 2012 inclusive, to facilitate road strengthening works on the R293.

The proposed alternative routes are as follows - Traffic from Ballymote to Gurteen will be diverted via the R295 to Boyle and along the R294 to Gurteen. Traffic from Gurteen to Ballymote will be diverted via the R294 to Bells Cross and along the R296 (Bunnanaddan) to Ballymote. Local traffic will be diverted via CR L4201-0 to Culfadda / CR 4202-0 to Keash
and the R295 to Ballymote and vice versa. The proposed closure will operate during working hours.

Any person aggrieved by the proposed closure may lodge a written objection setting out the grounds for therefor with the Director of Services, Infrastructural Services Section, Sligo
County Council, Governor’s House, St. Anne’s Place, Sligo not later than 4 p.m. on Tuesday, 1st May, 2012.
