NOTICE UNDER LOCAL GOVERNMENT (PLANNING AND DEVELOPMENT ACT) 2000 PLANNING AND DEVELOPMENT REGULATIONS 2001 PART 8 (AS AMENDED SI 600 OF 2001)

N17 / R294 JUNCTIONS - TOBERCURRY

Notice is hereby given that Sligo County Council intends to realign a section of the existing N17 National Primary Sligo to Galway road and change the junction layout at both its intersections with Regional Road R294. The proposed development passes through the townland of Tobercurry in the County of Sligo.

The Proposed Development includes the following:

  • The provision of a Compact Roundabout at each junction of the N17 and R294.
  • The realignment of National Road N17 to facilitate the roundabouts.
  • All ancillary works associated with the above.

Plans and full particulars of the proposed development are available for inspection or purchase (at a fee not exceeding the reasonable cost of making a copy) during office hours at the following office of Sligo County Council from Wednesday, 22nd February, 2012 until Wednesday, 18th April, 2012.

  • Road Design Office, Business Centre, Market Yard, Sligo.

Plans and full particulars of the proposed development are also available for inspection or purchase (at a fee not exceeding the reasonable cost of making a copy) by appointment at the following office of Sligo County Council from Wednesday, 22nd February, 2012 until Wednesday, 18th April, 2012.

Submissions and observations in respect of the proposed development, dealing with the proper planning and sustainable development of the area in which the development will be situated, may be made in writing to the Director of Infrastructural Services, Sligo County Council, Governor’s House, St. Anne’s Place, Sligo to be received within a period of 2 weeks following the expiration of the period of public display but no later than Wednesday, 3rd May, 2012
