Sligo Borough Council Joint Policing Committee - Notice of Public Meeting

Sligo Borough Council Joint Policing Committee will hold a Public Meeting on Wednesday 30th June, 2010 at 8.00 pm in Northside Resource Centre, Forthill, Sligo.

This meeting is being held under the terms of the Joint Policing Committee Guidelines issued in September 2008, with the aim of creating awareness within the communities of the Sligo Borough area of the role and functions of the JPC. 

The meeting will focus on issues affecting the policing of the Sligo Borough area with all relevant information being used to inform the Sligo/Leitrim Annual Garda Policing Plan 2011.  A copy of the 2010 Sligo/Leitrim Garda Policing Plan is available to download from www.garda.ie.  Members of the public are welcome to attend this meeting and have the right to make their views known.

All questions concerning the policing of the Sligo Borough Area should be submitted in writing to Geraldine Timlin, Community & Enterprise, Development Centre, Cleveragh Road, Sligo before Friday 25th June 2010 and should be clearly marked “Sligo Borough Council JPC – Public Meeting”.  Alternatively questions may be submitted via telephone by contacting the Directorate of Community & Enterprise on 071 9111800.  Questioners should give their name and address, which will not be published.

The public are advised that in certain circumstances, for legal reasons, it may not be possible to provide information requested.
