Temporary Closing of Roads - Motor Rally

SECTION 75 OF THE ROADS ACT, 1993

Notice is hereby given of the intention of Sligo County Council to close to public traffic the roads listed hereunder during the periods indicated on Sunday, 11th July, 2010 to facilitate the holding of a Motor Rally by Connacht Motor Club (Sligo) Ltd.

1. Period of Proposed Closure 09.00 to 18.20
   From junction of the R294 with L57072-0 to L5707-0 at Tawran, to L5706-0 at Tawran and Derrinoghran to L5705-0 at Derrinoghran, to L1701-0 at Meenmore to L5704-0 at Meenmore, Sragh, Mweelrow, to L5702-0 at Mweelrow and Seefin, to L1701-0 at Seefin and Tawnalion, to L5701-0 at Tawnalion and Corradoo, to L1804-0 at Corradoo, Derrygolagh and Meenmore, to L1805-0 at Meenmore and Derrygolagh to L1803-0 at Derrygolagh and Derraskeagh, to L1802-0 at Derraskeagh, Carrowreagh, Toomour and Daghloonagh to it’s junction with L4203-0 at Knockbrack.
   
   Alternative route will be via the R295, the L4202-0 Keash P.O. to Culfadda, the L4201-0 from Culfadda to Mullaghroe and onto the R294.
   
2. Period of Proposed Closure 09.20 to 18.50
   From Junction of L58025-0 with L5608 at Fallougher, Cloonagh, Cross, Tonaponra, Drumnagranshy, Carrownagreevy, to L5607 at Drumnagranshy and Cletty, to L5606 at Cletty and Roscrib East, to L1604 at Roscrib East and Ballinvoher, to L54055 at Doonmeegin and Lavally, to L54056 at Doomore, to L 5403 at Knockmoynagh and Kilmorgan to L5402 at Kilmorgan to L5405 at Kilmorgan, Cams, Ardlee, Coolbeg and Bricklieve to L1404 at Bricklieve and Cleavry.
   
   Alternative route will be via the National Road N4, L1502 to Drumfin and R295 to Boyle.
   
3. Period of Proposed Closure 10.00 to 19.20
   From Heapstown Crossroads along L1901 at Killadoon, Cornamucklagh, Doongelagh, Coolemoneen and Ballinphul to L1304 at Ballinphul and Doongelagh, to L5302 at Doongelagh and Annaghcarthy, to L53023 at Annaghcarthy and Coolemoneen, to L5103 to Ballinphul, Mountown, Runnatruffan West, Runnatruffan East, Garoke, Cabragh, Drumbeg North and Magheralachagh, to L 1903 at Magheralachagh, Drumbeg West and Dromore, to L5902 at Dromore, Moytirra East, Highwood and Cloghmine, to L1904 at Cloghmine and Highwood, to L5903 at Highwood, Ballinphul, Kilkere, Derrylea, Cuilnagleragh and Drumsoghla, to L1906 at Drumsoghla, Cuilnagleragh, Cloghmine and Cloystuckera.
   
   Alternative route will be via L19061 at Knockmore, Aghagowla and Cornacarta, L1905 at Annaghgowan and Ballindoon and R284.
4. Period of Proposed Closure 08.20 to 19.20
   From the junction of the Old Dublin Road with the N4 to Ballinafad Village.
   
   Alternative route will be via the N4.

In the interests of safety, roads adjoining the above mentioned routes will be closed for a distance of 200 metres.

Any person aggrieved by the proposed closure may lodge a written objection setting out the grounds therefore with the Director of Services, Infrastructural Services Section, Sligo County Council, Governor’s House, St. Anne’s Place, Sligo, not later than 4.00 p.m. on Tuesday, 22nd June, 2010.
