Sligo Borough Council Joint Policing Committee

Notice of Public Meeting

Sligo Borough Council Joint Policing Committee are holding a Public Meeting on Wednesday 11th November 2009, 8.00pm in Merville Community Centre, Sligo.

This meeting is being held under the terms of the Joint Policing Committee Guidelines issued in September 2008, with the aim of creating an awareness within the communities of the Sligo Borough area of the role and functions of the JPC.  The meeting will also address issues affecting the policing of the Sligo Borough area.

Members of the public are welcome to attend this meeting and have the right to make their views known and ask questions of the members of the Joint Policing Committee.

All questions concerning the policing of the Sligo Borough Area should be submitted in writing to Geraldine Timlin, Community and Enterprise, Development Centre, Cleveragh Road, Sligo before Monday 9th November 2009 and should be clearly marked “Sligo Borough Council JPC – Public Meeting”.  Alternatively questions may be submitted via telephone by contacting the Directorate of Community and Enterprise on 071 9111800.  Questioners should give their name and address, which will not be published.

The public are advised that in certain circumstances, for legal reasons, it may not be possible to provide information requested.
