Minutes of Special Meeting of Sligo County Council, Presidential Nominees Adress The Council, held on Monday 25th July 2011 in The Council Chamber, County Hall, Riverside, Sligo.

The Cathaoirleach, Councillor M. Fleming presided.
PRESIDENTIAL NOMINEES ADDRESS THE COUNCIL:
Members were provided with clarification on the expression of support for a candidate in the Presidential Election.
The format of the meeting as follows:
The Cathaoirleach has decided that aspirant presidential candidates will address the Council for a maximum of ten minutes, followed by a ten minute question and answer session.
The Cathaoirleach asked the candidates to address the meeting in the following order:
- Mary Davis
- Sean Gallagher
- Dermot Mulqueen
- David Norris
- Gary Smylie
- Richard McSweeney
- David Smyth
The candidates then addressed the meeting and responded to questions from members.
The Cathaoirleach thanked the candidates for their attendance and wished them well in their future endeavours.
