Temporary Closing of Roads



TEMPORARY CLOSING OF ROAD SECTION 75 OF THE ROADS ACT 1993 AND PART 8 ROADS REGULATIONS,1994 (SI NO.119 OF 1994)

Notice is hereby given of the decision by Sligo Borough Council to close the following roads to all vehicular traffic, to facilitate the Sligo Water Conservation Works Site Investigation Contract:

PROPOSED ROAD CLOSURE  PERIOD OF CLOSURE  DIVERSIONS 
Castle Street 18.00 - 23.00
1st November, 2010
Signed Traffic Diversions will be in Operation via Market Street, High Street, West Gardens and Harmony Hill. HGVs will be diverted via Pearse Road, Mail Coach Road and Adelaide Street. Access for O’Connell Street will be via Harmony Hill.
Grattan Street 18.00 - 23.00
1st November, 2010
Signed Traffic Diversions will be in Operation via Market Street, High Street, West Gardens and Harmony Hill. HGVs will be diverted via Pearse Road, Mail Coach Road and Adelaide Street. Access for O’Connell Street will be via Harmony Hill.
Thomas Street 18.00 - 23.00

Signed Traffic Diversions will be in Operation via JFK Parade & Abbey Street
Old Market Street

10.00 - 16.00 & 18.00 - 23.00

Signed Traffic Diversions will be in Operation via Burton Street.
Connolly Street

10.00 - 16.00 & 18.00 - 23.00

3rd November, 2010

Northbound Signed Traffic Diversions will be in Operation via Mail Coach Road, St Bridget’s Terrace, Pearse Road and Burton Street. Southbound Traffic will be Diverted via Old Market Street and Burton Street.
John Street Lower 18.00 - 23.00
3rd November, 2010
Signed Traffic Diversions will be in Operation via O’Connell Street, Wine Street, Adelaide Street, The Lungy and Charles Street. Traffic Flow on Charles Street to be Reversed on Night in Question.
Holborn Street 10.00 - 23.00
4th November, 2010
Signed Traffic Diversions will be in Operation via Connaughton Road, Inisfree Road and Stephen Street.
