12 no. RESIDENTIAL UNITS AT FIRST SEA ROAD SLIGO, KNAPPAGH MORE, SLIGO

As part of the Multi-Annual Capital Housing Programme Action Plan 2004-2008 (prepared by Sligo Borough Council and Sligo County Council), Sligo Borough Council in partnership with Sligo County Council is proposing to develop 12 new residential units at First Sea Road, Sligo. The site proposed for the development crosses the boundary between Sligo Borough Council and Sligo County Council. Part VIII planning processes will therefore be undertaken in both Authorities for this development.

The proposed overall development comprises construction of 12 no units in 2 no. 3 storey blocks (A and B) car parking, landscaping and associated site works. (Block A accommodates 5 no. apartments and 4 no. duplexes, block B accommodates 1 no. apartment and 2 no. duplexes). The overall site consists of 0.218 hectare of which 0.162 hectares (74% of site) lies in Sligo County, and 0.056 hectares (26 % of site) lies in Sligo Borough.

NOTICE OF PROPOSED DEVELOPMENT

In accordance with Part VIII of the Local Government (Planning and Development) Regulations, 2001,

Notice is hereby given that Sligo County Council in conjunction with Sligo Borough Council proposes to carry out the following development:

CONSTRUCTION OF 12 no. RESIDENTIAL UNITS AT FIRST SEA ROAD, SLIGO, KNAPPAGH MORE, SLIGO

The section of the Site in Sligo County Council’s functional area includes the following part of the proposed development:
Construction of part of block A (3 storey block accommodating 9 residential units comprising 5 no apartments, 4 no duplex apartments) and construction of block B ( accommodating 3 residential units: comprising 1 no apartment, 2 no duplex apartments) car parking, landscaping and associated site works.

Part of this development is in Sligo Borough and is the subject of a separate Part VIII process in Sligo Borough Council which is running concurrently.

Plans and particulars of the proposed development will be available for inspection at the Planning Section, County Hall, Riverside, Sligo between 9.30am and 4.30pm during the period Wednesday 3rd May 2006 to Thursday 1st June 2006.

Submission or observations with respect to the proposed development dealing with the proper planning and development of the area in which the development is situated, may be made in writing and must reach the undersigned not later than 4.30pm Friday 16th June 2006.
