
Veolia Water (Ireland) Limited have been employed by Sligo County Council to install meters on all non-domestic and part non-domestic properties.
Veolia Water are also responsible for reading the meters, issuing invoices and the collection of all monies due for the provision of water/wastewater services to non-domestic and part non-domestic customers.

This is your personal reference number for the supply to the location shown at “supply to ………”. If you have a number of water supplies, you will have a different customer reference number for each. Is the location to which the water/wastewater service is provided.
Shows the date the invoice was issued.
Shows how Veolia work out how much water you have used. Usage is shown in cubic metres (m3). 1m3 = 1,000 litres or 220 gallons. Your latest meter reading is shown together with your previous reading (if any). Reading dates are shown in both cases.
Where a domestic allowance is applicable, it is applied on a daily basis. It is then deducted from the volumetric usage. Domestic allowances do not apply to Fixed Charges. A Domestic Allowance does not apply in the case unoccupied houses.
Shows how much your water usage costs. The charge is in euros per m3. There are three possible charges, i.e. Water only, Water and Wastewater and Wastewater only.
Is the charge for being connected to the public water/wastewater systems. The standing charge is payable in advance so you will note that a Standing Charge for the period from the 1/4/2009 to the 30/6/2009 is included on the invoice in addition to a Standing Charge for the period from the 1/1/2009 to the 31/3/2009. Where invoices are issued on a quarterly basis only one standing charge will appear on your invoice.
This applies in cases where a meter has not been installed. The fixed charge will apply from the 1/1/2006 until the date on which a meter is fitted.

Is the total of the amounts due for the current period in respect of Standing/Fixed Charges and/or Volumetric Charges

WHILE CHEQUES SHOULD BE MADE PAYABLE TO SLIGO COUNTY COUNCIL/VEOLIA ALL PAYMENTS RELATING TO INVOICES ISSUED BY VEOLIA WATER SHOULD BE PAID TO VEOLIA WATER OR LODGED THROUGH THE BANK BY USING THE LODGEMENT/BANK GIRO CREDIT TRANSFER ON THE BOTTOM OF YOUR INVOICE
Non-domestic and part non-domestic customers shall advise Veolia Water agents of any change in the status of the premises, e.g. premises closing down, removal of domestic allowance, re-development, change of occupier, premises no longer commercial, etc.
Any non-domestic/part non-domestic property owner who is selling a property should either directly or through his/her agents contact Veolia Water and arrange to have a meter reading taken in advance of the change of occupancy of the property.
All payments due for water/wastewater charges must be paid before the change in the occupancy of the property.
Sellers of non-domestic/part non-domestic should furnish the Veolia Water of the name/s and addresses of the purchaser/s of all such properties
Purchasers of all non-domestic/part non-domestic properties should contact Veolia Water in advance of taking up occupancy of such premises to ensure that their details are registered on the company’s billing system and also to ensure that there are no outstanding charges due.
