Local Area Plan

In order to facilitate the application of the broad policy framework of the County Development Plan to specific locations, the County Council has decided to adopt local area plans (LAPs) for County Sligo’s Key Support Towns and other settlements or areas under significant development pressure.

The following are adopted Local Area Plans.

• Strandhill Local Area Plan 2003-2012
• Enniscrone Local Area Plan 2004-2010
• Hazelwood-Ballinode Local Area Plan 2004-2010
• Ballymote Local Area Plan 2005-2011
• North Fringe Local Area Plan 2010-2016
• Charlestown - Bellaghy Local Area Plan 2010-2016

A draft Local Area Plan for Tubbercurry is currently under preparation.
