Sligo County Council with the support of the Heritage Council has prepared a draft Biodiversity Action Plan for County Sligo. Biodiversity encompasses more than wildlife, it is the total variety of life on earth and includes everything from people, plants and animals to micro-organisms, genetic variation and habitats. Sligo’s Draft Biodiversity Action Plan (BAP) is a way of encouraging people and organisations to work together to deliver action for biodiversity locally, for the benefit of all.
