Ballisodare Composting Facility

(Operated by Ballisodare Community Council in conjunction with Sligo County Council) 

Green Waste only accepted  i.e. grass clippings, hedge trimmings, trees, bushes, shrubs, leaf litter etc.

Any other waste type will not be accepted onsite.

Materials brought to the site should be free of contaminants such as plastic, metal and general rubbish.

Opening Times:

• Tuesday - Friday 10:00 am - 1:00pm and 2:00pm - 4:00pm
• Saturday  10:00am - 2:00pm

• Standard Black Bag          € 1
• Car Trailer (single axle)     € 6
• Car Trailer (double axle)   € 8
• Standard Van                   € 15
• Standard Truck                € 20
• Larger or irregular loads charged at the discretion of the site operator.

Directions to Composting Facility

Sligo town

• Take the N4 Dublin road
• Turn left at Ballisodare interchange
• At T Junction turn right
• Continue on until arrive at mini roundabout in Ballisodare village
• Take the first exit
• Continue for 1 km Composting Facility on the right.

Dromore West

• Take N59 road
• Stay on N59 until arrive in Ballisodare
• Turn left continue for 200 metres through the village
• At mini roundabout take the second exit
• Continue for 1km and green waste facility is on the right
