Dog Shelter

Many of the dogs we see at our shelter would make lovely family pets. It is our policy to endeavour to find new homes for as many of these dogs as possible. Some of the dogs we are currently caring for are pictured below. However please remember that taking on a dog is a big responsibility so please keep this in mind when thinking about re-homing a dog.

If you are thinking of getting a dog, why not contact us and see whether we have one that you might like. Subject to available funding you may also avail of the Free Health-Check Scheme (including neutering) sponsored by the Dogs Trust Animal Charity. Further details of this will be given at the pound. Sligo County Council would like to thank Dogs Trust for their help in this initiative.

If you would like to enquire further about any particular dog please contact the pound at 071-9163320 to arrange a time to see the dogs. The pound is situated at Cullaghbeg, Drumcliffe. Take the N15 Bundoran road from Sligo. After passing through Rathcormac the Pound is signposted.
