Customer Services - Update

Sligo County Council’s Customer Services is now beginning to take shape. The project team have welcomed two new officers to the ‘desk’. Brid Keaveney and Eithne Christie, will assist Mary Boylan in operating Customer Services.

From a training perspective, Professional Development Ltd. has been chosen to provide the Customer Service training. Initially, the officers of the ‘desk’ and the link people will avail of this training, but it will be provided to all staff at a later date. The first training sessions for the officers will commence in late March.

With the launch of the ‘desk’ creeping up on us, work is being carried out in order to help with the promotion of the service. A brochure is currently being drafted which will be circulated countywide. The purpose of the brochure is to inform the public of what the service will provide and how to use it. The promotion will also advertise the new phone number, which the public will use to contact Customer Services. Training will also be provided on the use of eDirect.
