Open Local Government

Sligo County Council regularly hosts students from local schools and colleges to County Hall as part of its ‘Open Local Government’ initiative. The students are given a presentation on the role and objectives of the local authority and attend a monthly meeting in the Council chamber.

Transition year students of Summerhill College will be the Council’s guests for the October monthly meeting, while the International Marketing students from the Sligo Institute of Technology will visit the council chamber for the November meeting.
