Temporary Closing of Roads - Cleveragh Road (L-9209-0)

Notice is hereby given of the intention of Sligo County Council to close to all public vehicular traffic, Cleveragh Road (L-9209-0), from its junction with Pearse Road (R-870-1) to its junction with (L-9209-1).

This closure is to facilitate Irish Water in construction of the “Sligo City Watermains Rehabilitation and Pearse Road Sewer Network Project”.

The alternative route for traffic will be:

Traffic travelling north along Cleveragh Road, towards Pearse Road junction, will be diverted left onto Cemetery Road, where the diversion route will take a right onto Pearse Road and continue to Cleveragh Road Junction where detour will end.

Traffic travelling north along Pearse Road, intending to turn right onto Cleveragh Road will be diverted straight to continue along Pearse Road, turn right onto Pilkington Terrace, then left onto Chapel Hill, then right onto Cranmore Lane and onto Cranmore Road where the diversion will take a right onto Devins Drive and continue straight to junction with Cleveragh Road where detour will end.

Traffic travelling south along Pearse Road intending to turn left onto Cleveragh Road will be diverted straight to continue along Pearse Road, turn left onto Cemetery Road, take a left onto Cleveragh Road where the detour will end.

The period of the proposed closure will be from 12.00 on Monday, 9th October 2017 to 23:59 Monday 30th October, 2017.

Any persons aggrieved by the proposed closure may lodge a written objection setting out the grounds thereof with the Director of Services, Infrastructural Services Section, Sligo County Council, Riverside, Sligo, not later than 16:00 on Thursday 28th September, 2017.
