Sligo Civil Defence are Recruiting New Volunteers

Are you interested in being part of a team skilled to assist the front line emergency services in times of crisis and when not responding to a crisis situation utilising the skills perfected by assisting your community at various activities / events throughout the year.

Volunteers receive training in all skills necessary to perform their role: First aid, Search skills, Radio Communication, Welfare (Dealing with displaced persons) Radiation monitoring etc. so that you are capable to assist in whatever role is required when requested.

Volunteers are required to attend weekly (one night) training at the centre of choice listed below from October through to completion of induction program initially and then as per annual training schedule and be able to respond to requests for assistance from the community mainly during the summer months. 

Registration night will take place in the following centres and training will then be held in both centres commencing a week after registration. 

Enniscrone

Tuesday night 17th October at 8pm
