A weeklong festival of cycling is taking place in Sligo as part of National Bike Week which commences on Saturday 22nd June and is continuing throughout the week.

Bike Week is a celebration and promotion of all that's great about bikes and cycling. There are events for every age and ability including adult beginner cycling lessons, leisure cycles from 15km, 40km and 120km, peddle to paddle sessions, mountain biking, time trails and much more taking place in across County Sligo over the week.
Among the highlight events is the Cycle to Work Lunchtime Cycle at 1.15pm on Wednesday 26th June and Bike Orienteering on Saturday 22nd June in Cleveragh Park. Locally, the event is co-ordinated by Sligo County Council and Sligo Sport and Recreation Partnership with support from many cycling clubs and community organisations.
