Cathaoirleach Pays Tribute to Eugene Lambert

The Cathaoirleach of Sligo County Council has paid tribute to the late Eugence Lambert, saying he entertained and enthralled generations of children. 'Eugene was always proud of his Sligo roots and his 'Wanderly Wagon' programme was essential viewing all over the country. The characters in the show became household names, some of them being used to promote the important message of road safety.

Eugene was a master of his craft, and was greatly admired and respected for his many achievements.
