Contract Signed for Knappagh Road Housing Scheme
Sligo County Council formally appointed the building contractor PJ Treacy and Sons this week for the construction of 28 new housing units on Knappagh Road, Sligo. The Knappagh Beg Court housing scheme will provide a mix of housing types (16 two bedroom units, 6 one bedroom units and 6 three bedroom units) to cater for a wide range of housing needs. It is envisaged that the scheme will be completed in early 2020.
Welcoming progress on the delivery of new housing, Cathaoirleach Councillor Martin Baker said ‘Signing this contract today is good news for the people of Sligo, we look forward to seeing the construction of much needed new homes. I would like to commend the staff in Housing Section for their professionalism and expertise in delivering this project to contract stage.’
