How do I apply for records under the Freedom of Information Act?

If you wish to apply for records (documents) under Freedom of Information you can either fill in an application form or simply write a letter marking it for the attention of the Freedom of Information Officer, Sligo County Council, County Hall, Riverside, Sligo stating what records you are seeking under F.O.I.  Remember to enclose the appropriate fee if you are seeking non-personal records.

County Hall

County Hall is located at Riverside in Sligo town.

Meetings of the County Council are held in the Council chamber in County Hall.

The County Hall is open to the public from 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday.

Where do I obtain a Dog Licence?

Dog licences can be purchased at your local post office for a fee of EUR12.70 for one year and must be renewed annually. You can purchase a General Dog Licence which allows a person to keep any number of dogs and can only be got from the GPO in Dublin Tel No. 01-7057291 and costs €254.

Where can I purchase a compost bin?

You can purchase a starter kit which consists of a composter, 10L kitchen caddy and starter guide for €25.00, all of which are available from:
